A SNEAK PEEK from FASHION WEEK (Spring/Summer 2022)

You’re IN!!!

It’s time to think SPRING in gorgeous hues and patterns that will give you respite from the isolation that many of us have been feeling from this lingering pandemic. Yes, please!

This past weekend was a whirlwind of exploration through the magical world of NYFW (New York Fashion Week) and memories which will dance around in my mind for many years to come. Traveling with a cherished childhood friend…we planned our outfits, mapped out our destinations, snapped our cameras away like the paparazzi and laughed our way through the entire journey of this once-in-a-lifetime experience. IT. WAS. EPIC.

We were fortunate enough to snag a couple of the almost sold out, first-row tickets to the @artheartsfashion NYFW event for a handful of brilliant, new designers. Every collection was beautifully executed, and since this was the first time I’ve attended, perhaps there was a bit of beginner’s luck with being treated as a VIP for the night! We had access to special photo opp’s, swag bags, signature cocktails and my favorite part…meeting and chatting with the designers!

So, what’s new, SPRING-SUMMER 2022?!?!

After much deliberation over how to wear a Spring-inspired look in the middle of a cold NY winter, without a hotel room to add/drop layers from day to night, this is where I landed. I tend to enjoy mixing and matching pieces, but this outfit is almost completely from one designer - @majeparis. It just happened to check off most of the boxes… Spring colorways ✓comfortable to walk around in (see that Alice in Wonderland looking cobble-stone street?) ✓ cute yet, cozy layers ✓ and stepping out of my mostly black wardrobe (aka “comfort zone”).

About these pants…this is a testament to trying out new styles I’ve steered clear of in the past. These happened to work, because I found the right fit for my shape. Do not shy away from pants that are more fitted, because they could actually add a nice shapeline to your legs. The flirty, flared cut at the bottom actually made me walk with a strut…how about that for a girl who’s especially introverted in crowds! Adding a structured heel bootie made these even more fun to kick around in.

As always, Have Fun Being You! 😉😉

As for the real showstoppers, here are some of my favorite highlights from the runway!
